Pauleth Shrerased Bolaños Hurtado
Hi, everyone! I’m Pauleth and I am 4 years old. I’m a part of the K4 program at the Center. People say that I am sassy – but I think that’s just because I share what I’m thinking. I like to read, do puzzles with my friends, dance, have my picture taken (and I will tell you if I like it or not!), and help my brothers and sister with their homework.
I am the youngest of 5 kids. At the Center, it’s my brother, Saimon Patrick, my sister, Jannela Elizabeth, and me. Simon is 9 years old and in 4th grade and Jannela is 13 years old and is in 8th grade. My two older brothers go to different schools. We joined the Center on August 28th, 2014.
My mom is María del Mar, but everyone calls her “Marimar.” It’s just the 6 of us. My mom works really hard. For a while, my mom didn’t have a job and it was really scary. But, now she cleans houses 3 days a week.
“Pauleth, how many years is that?” Pauleth, counting on her fingers, “Ummm…that is….[uno dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis] 6 years! WOW – that’s older than me!”
My family and I live in Oyacoto. It takes us an hour to get to the Center on the bus. I like riding the bus, but I don’t like how long it is. We just moved, and with the Center’s help, we now have a house with a roof. And there are now 3 rooms instead of one. And we got a new kitchen area, and lights, and an indoor bathroom!
